KJU Participates in Three WMD Personnel Events

KJU’s last observed appearance was his attendance at a meeting of the Political Bureau Presidium in Pyongyang on September 3

Kim Jong Un (Kim Cho’ng-u’n) attended three events for WMD personnel in Pyongyang on September 9 (Saturday).

He participated in a photo-op at the plaza in front of Ku’msusan Palace of the Sun with personnel involved in the sixth nuclear weapons test.  Also in attendance were Workers’ Party of Korea [WPK] Vice Chairman for and Director of Munitions Industries Ri Man Gon (Ri Man-ko’n) and WPK Munitions Industries Department Deputy Director Hong Sung Mu (Hong Su’ng-mu).  Arriving at the photo-op, the participants enthusiastically welcomed him, extending the highest glory and warmest thanks to him” and Jong Un waved back to the cheering participants in token of his warm militant salute.”

He “highly praised once again the reliable combatants in the nuclear field of the party for dealing a merciless sledge-hammer blow to the US imperialists and their vassal forces pouncing on from all directions to stamp out the sovereignty and rights to existence and development of the DPRK and demonstrating over the world the dignity of Chuch’e Korea and the strong spirit of its heroic people by producing a super-powerful Chuch’e-based thermonuclear weapon.”  Kim Jong Un expressed his “belief that the soldiers in the field of defenee science would as ever register fresh miracles and innovations in the struggle for realizing the Workers’ Party of Korea’s plan for building a strategic nuclear force as they have devoted themselves to the drive to help the country join the ranks of the world’s advanced nuclear powers.”

Kim Jong Un later attended a banquet at Moknan House held for nuclear weapons personnel.  Among those in attendance were Supreme People’s Assembly Presidium President Kim Yong Nam (Kim Yo’ng-nam), Korean People’s Army General Political Department Director and State Affairs Commission Vice Chairman VMar Hwang Pyong So (Hwang Pyo’ng-so), DPRK Premier and State Affairs Commission Pak Pong Ju (Pak Pong-chu) and WPK Vice Chairman for Workers’ and Social Organizations and State Affairs Commission Vice Chairman Choe Ryong Hae (Ch’oe Ryong-hae), members of the WPK Political Bureau Presidium that voted to authorize the sixth test.  The banquet proceeded “proceeded in an atmosphere overflowing with the high revolutionary enthusiasm of the participants to firmly defend the Party and the revolution with the strongest nuclear bombs in the world by successfully concluding the research and development campaign of the final stage for completing the state nuclear force, upholding with loyalty the leadership of Kim Jong Un.”

Ri Man Gon delivered a speech in which he “warmly congratulated the brave heroes who made a great contribution to attaining the final goal of completing the state nuclear force set forth at the Seventh Congress of the Party by achieving the perfect success in the test of H-bomb.”  Ri also also that the “nuclear death-defying corps members who plunged into the nuclear battle site and carried out the Party’s order at any cost by unsparingly dedicating their youth, lives and family happiness without wanting any honor or praise are, indeed, the real patriots and unassuming persons of distinguished service to be respected by the whole country.”  Ri Man Gon also said that:

One hardly knows the detailed struggle and merits of the nuclear developers, but our Party carefully considers their blood, sweat and heroic exploits deep in the ground and most highly praises them.

There are not a few people engaged in the national defence in the world, but only our nuclear developers lead a worthy life with the greatest glory and happiness under the particular love and care of the leader.

Our H-bomb with super explosive power is certainly the H-bomb of Kim Jong Un produced by his ardent love for the country and the people and the thermonuclear bomb of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Our Party is designing the bright tomorrow of a socialist power in firm reliance on the defence scientists boundlessly faithful to the country and revolution.  Nuclear developers to fully equip themselves with the spirit of defending the Party Central Committee unto death, more dynamically conduct the campaign of the final stage for completing the state nuclear force and thus fill the arsenal of the Supreme Command with the world strongest nuclear warheads capable of totally contain the enemy.

Kim Jong Un also delivered remarks in which he “highly praised the nuclear developers for most proudly and realistically carrying out the sector tasks set forth at the Seventh Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and gave thanks once again to them on behalf of the Party and the state.”

Jong Un said “how glad leader Kim Jong Il must be when he knew the news of today’s victory as he hewed out the road of building the nuclear force of the DPRK and led the work to victory” and he stressed that “the recent test of the H-bomb is the great victory won by the Korean people at the cost of their blood while tightening their belts in the arduous period.”  He called “upon all the fields and units to follow the fighting spirit and trait of the nuclear combatants who are taking the lead in the drive for carrying out the decisions of the Seventh Congress of the Party” and “put forward the tasks for the scientists and technicians in the field of defense science to conduct scientific researches for bolstering up the nuclear deterrence of self-defense in the drive to attain the final goal of completing the state nuclear force, true to the Party’s line of simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force.”

Kim Jong Un said that the “final victory of the Chuch’e revolution is certain as there are firm self-supporting economic foundation provided by the great leaders, the large contingent of talented scientists, army and people having the revolutionary spirit of Paektu and their fighting tradition of self-reliance” and called upon “the reliable nuclear combatants of our Party to win greater victory with redoubled efforts, not slackening the spirit displayed by them in bringing the great auspicious event of the national history, extra-large event through perfect success of H-bomb test.”

Kim Jong Un, accompanied by his wife Ri Sol Ju (Ri So’l-chu), attended a concert at the People’s Theater celebrating the DPRK’s sixth nuclear test.  Also in attendance were Ri Man Gon, Hong Sung Mu, WPK Munitions Industries Department Deputy Director and Nuclear Weapons Institute chief Ri Hong Sop (Ri Hong-sop), WPK Munitions Industry Department Deputy Director and 2nd National Academy of Sciences President Jang Chang Ha (Chang Chang-ha) and other relevant munitions industry officials.

After arriving at the concert venue, Kim Jong Un “warmly” waved at the audience members and performers.  The concert began with the national anthem and included “Glory to General Kim Jong Un,” “The Glorious Motherland,” “At a Go,” “Let’s Keep the Revolutionary Faith,” “Glory of Our Life,” and “We Will Go Along the Road of Loyalty.”

The performers “highly praised the undying feats of Kim Jong Un who has regarded it as the most important state affairs to accomplish the great cause of President Kim Il Sung (Kim Il-so’ng) and leader Kim Jong Il for building the nuclear force and firmly guaranteed the victorious advance and eternal future of the cause of the Chuch’e revolution while stubbornly passing through untrodden snow in the nuclear weaponization inch by inch.”  When Jong Un’s image was projected onto a stage screen the venue “echoed with enthusiastic applause with excitement.”
