KJU Inspects and Guides KPA Strike Drill

Kim Jong Un (Kim Cho’ng-u’n) guided a live fire strike drill of the Korean People’s Army [KPA] on 28 February (Friday).  The drill was held to “judge the mobility and the fire power strike abilities of the defense units on the front and in the eastern area and offer them an occasion to gain proficiency in the command of the combined strikes by the services of the KPA.”  Also in attendance were Chief of the KPA General Staff Gen. Pak Jong Chon (Pak Cho’ng-chon), Military Security Command [MSC] Director Gen. Jo Kyong Chol (Cho Kyo’ng-ch’o’l), general-grade officers of the KPA and senior officials of the Korean Workers’ Party [KWP] Central Committee.

Armed with the Party’s concept of “one match for a hundred” and “trained under the simulated conditions of actual battles,” the drill “reduced a target islet to a sea of flames.”  KJU expressed his “great satisfaction” about the drill.

Kim Jong Un “sent a militant greeting and the special thanks of the Supreme Command to all the soldiers of the KPA who part in the drill” and expressed “his admiration for the combat capability of the units of the services of the KPA and the defense unit on the front and in the eastern area keeping themselves fully ready to go into action at a moment’s notice.”

He expressed his “firm conviction that the KPA which is boundlessly loyal to the Party’s call would steadily develop its combat capability so as to definitely guarantee the victorious advance of the revolutionary cause of Chuch’e and socialism with invincible military force.”
