Tractors and Trucks Shown Off in KIS Square

On December 8, a ceremony opening a demonstration of tractors, trucks and other equipment was held in KIS Square.  Attending the ceremony DPRK Premier and State Affairs Commission Vice Chairman Pak Pong Ju (Pak Pong-chu), WPK Vice Chairman for Economic Affairs O Su Yong [O Su-yo’ng], WPK Vice Chairman for Planning and Finance Pak Thae Dok [Pak T’ae-dok], DPRK Vice Premier Ko In Ho [Ko In-ho], other senior officials of Cabinet Ministries and state institutions and members of the February 17 Shock Brigade of Scientists and Technicians.

Pak Pong Ju, in his remarks said, “it is thanks to respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un’s (Kim Cho’ng-u’n) tireless efforts and devotion that the Korean-style new type tractors and trucks could come into being as a proud creation representing the era of Mallima.” The ceremony and demonstration “goes to clearly prove that no one can ever block the road ahead of the DPRK advancing by dint of science and technology under the banner of the self-development first principle.”  Pak called on “every field and unit to wage a dynamic drive for increased production and creation in order to attain the goal of the five-year strategy for national economic development and thus register bigger successes in building a socialist economic power.”

Pak Pong Ju ordered the tractors and trucks to processs through Pyongyang and DPRK citizens watched the Ch’o’llima-804 tractors, Su’ngri trucks and Chungsong-122 tractors chug through the revolutionary capital.
