As the entire country’s boundless trust in the Workers’ Party of Korea — which has guided the Chuch’e revolutionary cause pioneered at Mt. Paektu along the path of brilliant victory, strengthened the might of our state with unshakeable resolve, and boldly opened a new era of comprehensive national development and a new stage in building a powerful nation — surges ever more fervently across the October homeland, the National Defense Revolution Museum of the DPRK Second Economic Committee has been opened on the occasion of the glorious 81st anniversary of our Party’s founding.

The National Defense Revolution Museum, which comprehensively embodies the sacred history of our Party’s leadership over the national defense industry — a history woven with steadfast independent conviction, decisive will, burning devotion, and ardent love as it carried the destiny of the country and the people — and the great creations born of that leadership, is a grand national treasure that displays the Korean people’s indomitable spirit, their thorough revolutionary will, and the absolute strength possessed by our state.

The opening ceremony for the National Defense Revolution Museum was solemnly held on October 11.

The venue overflowed with fiery admiration for Comrade Kim Jong Un, who has ushered in the golden age of the DPRK’s military strength through his outstanding military-strategic thought, extraordinary leadership, great devotion, and tenacious execution.

The Central Military Band of the Ministry of Defense presented a distinctive and spirited military ceremony.

All participants paid the highest respect and infinite glory to Comrade Kim Jong Un — symbol of the greatness and heroism of our Party, our state, and our people, and representative of sacred dignity and shining honor.

Secretaries of the WPK Central Committee, members of the Party’s central leadership organs, leading officials of the national defense industry sector, commanders of the Ministry of Defense, service branch commanders, major combined‑unit commanders, builders, museum officials, and employees attended the opening ceremony.

The national anthem of the DPRK was solemnly played.

Participants viewed a video compilation of the weapons and equipment recently deployed to our military.

To commemorate the museum’s opening, Comrade Kim Jong Sik — member of the WPK Central Military Commission and First Deputy Director of the WPK Central Committee — delivered a speech.

He said the National Defense Revolution Museum is a proud summation of the long and glorious development history carved by our defense industry under the Party’s leadership, and a miniature that displays the height, character, and capabilities of our national defense power. He stated that the construction of a museum representing and symbolizing the Party’s achievements for the country’s present and future is the era’s and the people’s finest praise for that profound historical course.

The speaker said that the Party’s strategic program for national defense development and the tasks for its realization were, in essence, a revolution — literally equivalent to newly founding our national defense science and munitions industry — and that the one who initiated and personally guided this unprecedented revolution in world military history is none other than our Comrade Kim Jong Un.

He said the museum is the embodiment of Comrade Kim Jong Un’s great patriotic spirit, his national defense construction line, and his extraordinary leadership, and is the greatest honor of the Party’s 80‑year history. He added that the museum clearly outlines the road ahead and reaffirms the source of our confidence.

Reflecting deeply on the countless stories engraved in the sacred history of our  Chuch’e‑based national defense industry — pioneered with the Party’s founding and steadily advanced — and in the arduous pioneering path of national defense modernization, Comrade Kim Jong Un said the National Defense Revolution Museum is an immortal archive and the greatest of national treasures, showing in concentrated and intuitive form how our state’s dignity and security, the people’s happiness, and the peace of this land have been defended and secured.

He said that a revolutionary treasure like the National Defense Revolution Museum is a great historical asset that only the Workers’ Party of Korea — which has walked an upright and glorious path without a moment’s halt for the country and future generations — can possess, and a noble monument that only a powerful state and people with absolute strength to defend themselves can erect.

He said the level our national defense industry has reached today is the summit of glory and honor won by Korean spirit, Korean strength, and Korean ingenuity, and a precious victory brought about by the people’s tenacity and patriotic devotion, who unwaveringly supported the Party’s independent self‑defense line and national defense development policy even in the face of harsh trials and obstacles.

He said that for our Party — born with the absolute mission of taking full responsibility for the people’s destiny — building the world’s strongest national defense industry is its natural vocation and characteristic mode of activity. He affirmed that the powerful Chuch’e‑based weapons, which serve as stepping stones that rapidly elevate our national prestige, will continue to be developed and perfected through a unique course of development and evolution, and that the museum’s scale and content will be steadily expanded and enriched.

Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed confidence that the museum’s officials and lecturers will cherish deep pride and honor in safeguarding our Party’s revolutionary historical perspective, and will fulfill their responsibility and duty as the Party’s red propagandists and ideological guards who will pass down the history of our state’s self‑defense national defense construction forever.

Visitors deeply engraved in their hearts the iron truth that we will always win because the Workers’ Party of Korea guides the Korean revolution, and the vitality of the Party’s self‑defense line.

Members of the Party’s central leadership organs strengthened their firm resolve to uphold Comrade Kim Jong Un’s revolutionary leadership with single‑minded loyalty, as he places self‑defense national defense at the foundation of safeguarding sovereignty, protecting national interests, and advancing the revolution, and leads the historic struggle for building a rich and powerful nation from the forefront, powerfully demonstrating the dignity and greatness of our Party, state, and people.
