The 7th plenum of the 8th Workers’ Party of Korea [WPK] Central Committee held sideline consultative policy meetings on 28 February (Tuesday). “Sectional study and consultative meetings to frame scientific, realistic and dynamic measures for further accelerating the implementation of the Party’s rural development strategy and economic policy” on the Central Committee meeting’s third day held “amid the growing confidence in the sure victory and courage of all the participants who received guidelines for the implementation of the program for rural revolution and the national economic development in the new era.”
The consultative meetings were led by senior Party and government officials and participants “made an intensive study of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un’s (Kim Cho’ng-u’n) conclusion that clarified the development strategy and policies for achieving the sustained growth of agricultural production under the uplifted banner of the rural revolution and further promoting the comprehensive development of Korean-style social construction.”
The meetings “focused on finding in real earnest the ways for improving the work of each sector and unit in a revolutionary manner and made constructive suggestions.”
