DPRK state media reported on November 12, 2017, State Affairs Commission Vice-chairman and DPRK Premier Pak Pong Ju (Pak Pong-chu) toured the construction site of a building for the C1 chemical industry and “gave pep-talks to the builders.” They discussed “the measures to finish the project in a qualitative way at an early date true to the Party’s intention to put the chemical industry on a Chuch’e basis” at a consultative meeting.
He also visited the Su’nch’o’n Phosphate Fertilizer Plant contraction site as well as the maize and dry-field crop research centers of the Institute of Agricultural Science which is under renovation. At the crop research centers he “stressed the need to raise the construction speed and supply in time the building materials.”
