Minister of People’s Security, Yi Myo’ng-su [Ri Myong Su], has discharged one of his first public acts since his appointment to the position at the SPA on 7 April. Yi was reported by DPRK media to have met and held discussions with Vietnamese Public Security Minister, Le Hong Anh, on 15 April [Friday]. KCNA reports:
Talks were held here on Friday between the delegations of the Ministry of People’s Security of the DPRK and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam.
Present at the talks from the DPRK side were members of the delegation of the Ministry of People’s Security headed by Minister Ri Myong Su and from the Vietnamese side members of the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security headed by Minister Le Hong Anh, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the Communist Party of Vietnam, and Nguyen Dinh Duong, charge d’affaires ad interim of the Vietnamese embassy here.
At the talks both sides exchanged views on the matter of boosting exchange and cooperation between the securities organs of the two countries and issues of mutual concern.
