DPRK Government Officials Visit Ku’msusan on DOTSS

Senior DPRK Government officials visited Ku’msusan Palace of the Sun on February 16 (Friday) to makr the birth anniversary of late leader Kim Jong Il [Kim Cho’ng-il].  The visit by the senior DPRK Government officials began a series of similar visits by Korean People’s Army service members and other DPRK citizens as a way to commemorative the Day of the Shining Star.

Senior officials making the visit included Supreme People’s Assembly [SPA] Presidium President Kim Yong Nam [Kim Yo’ng-nam], DPRK Premier and State Affairs Commission Vice Chairman Pak Pong Ju [Pak Pong-chu], SPA Presidium Vice Present Yang Hyong Sop [Yang Hyo’ng-sop], SPA Presidium Vice President and Korea Social Democratic Party Central Committee Chairman Kim Yong Dae [Kim Yo’ng-tae], DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho [Ri Yo’ng-ho], State Planning Commission Chairman and DPRK Vice Premier Ro Tu Chol [Ro Tu-ch’o’l], DPRK Vice Premier Im Chol Ung [Im Ch’o’l-u’ng], DPRK Vice Premier and Minister of Agriculture Ko In Ho [Ko In-ho], DPRK Vice Premier Ri Ju O [Ri Chu-o], DPRK Vice Premier Kim Tok Hun [Kim Tok-hun], Youth League Central Committee 1st Secretary Pak Chol Min [Pak Ch’o’l-min], Korea Democratic Women’s Union Central Committee 1st Secretary Jang Chun Sil [Chang Ch’un-sil], Kim Tong Gyu [Kim To’ng-kyu],  DPRK Cabinet Political Bureau Director Sin Yong Chol [Sin Yo’ng-ch’o’l], State Affairs Commission Department Director Kim Ung Chol [Kim U’ng-ch’o’l], State Affairs Commission Department Director Ma Won Chun [Ma Wo’n-ch’un], Cabinet Ministers and Commission Chairs and other senior officials and functionaries of various government and social organizations.

Already placed in front of the Kim Il Sung [Kim Il-so’ng] and Kim Jong Il [Kim Cho’ng-il] statues were floral baskets from Kim Jong Un [Kim Cho’ng-u’n] and another basket sent by the Workers’ Party of Korea [WPK] Central Committee, the WPK Central Military Commission and DPRK State Affairs Commission.  A floral basket sent jointly by the SPA Presidium and DPRK Cabinet was placed in front of the statues.  The senior DPRK Government officials “paid tribute to the great leaders before their statues.”

They then went onto the chamber containing Kim Jong Il’s preserved remains and “made a deep bow to him.”  The senior DPRK Government officials then visits exhibitions of awards, honorary degrees and titles that KJI received, rooms showing his personal boat and railway coach and rooms displaying his personal Mercedes Benz S-Class sedan and an electric mobility cart.
