Pak Pong Ju Inspects C1 Chemical Industry Construction Site

DPRK state media reported on January 25, 2018 that State Affairs Commission vice chair and Premier Pak Pong Ju [Pak pong-chu] inspected the C1 chemical industry construction site. Also observed in attendance Minister of Chemical Industry Jang Kil Ryong [Chang Kil-ryong] and State Affairs Commission Department Director Kim Ung Chol [Kim U’ng-ch’o’l].

While inspecting the site, he “encouraged the builders who are pushing ahead with the construction project as planned despite the biting cold.”

An on the spot consultative meeting was held “to discuss the measures for scrupulously organizing the construction schedule by different units under the winter conditions and completing the project in a qualitative way at an early date.”

Pak also inspected the Pukch’ang Thermal Power Complex and the Sunch’o’n Phosphorous Fertilizer Factory which also also under construction. During those inspections, he “stressed the need to drastically increase the power production and push ahead with the construction as scheduled and the necessity for the relevant units to produce and supply equipment in good time.”
