In May, 2010, KCNA issued eleven (11) reports on Kim Jong-il’s visits and appearances to some 22 different locations in North Korea.  This does not include his “unofficial” five day sojourn to China which KCNA reported on 8 May 2010 as having taken place from 3 May (Monday) to 7 May (Friday).  19 personalities were reported or observed to have accompanied Kim Jong Il in the previous month, counting members of KJI’s travel party (as reported by KCNA) in China as one appearance.

Kim Jong Il’s eight (8) frequent cohorts in May, 2010, and the number of their appearances, were: NDC Member and CC KWP Director, Jang Song-taek (12); KWP Secretary, Kim Ki Nam (12); KJI’s sister and CC KWP Director, Kim Kyong-hui (11); NDC Member and CC KWP Deputy Director, Ju Kyu Chang (10); NDC Director, Gen. Hyon Chol Hae (10); NDC Director, Gen. Ri Myong Su (10); CC KWP Deputy Director and KJI aide, Ri Je Gang (9); and, Vice Premier and Chief Secretary of the South Hamgyong KWP Provincial Committee, Tae Jong Su (8).
