Bloomberg citing Yomiuri cites anonymous sources about a possible Kim Jong-il visit to China either in January or Feburary next year. The only problem with this report is that it states that “China is likely to approve the trip.” Last I checked, China had invited General-Secretary Kim “at a time of his convenience.” Nevertheless, Bloomberg reports:
Kim intends to meet with Chinese President Hu Jintao and other officials, the Japanese paper said. A high-ranking North Korean representative has been in China since last month to lay the groundwork for the visit, the Yomiuri said.
