Kim Jong Il Enjoys Performance Given by Art Squad of KPA Large Combined Unit

Pyongyang – Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, enjoyed a performance given by the art squad of KPA Large Combined Unit 324.

Their colorful performance included numbers like “Glory to Our Great Party” and “Attraction and Reverence.”

The art squad successfully represented the invincible might of the powerful revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu which has grown to be a matchless army under the care of the Supreme Commander and the firm faith and will of the servicepersons to accomplish with arms the revolutionary cause of juche which started in the forests of Mt. Paektu.

It clearly proved the validity and vitality of the WPK’s policy of conducting anti-Japanese guerrilla style performing activities by fully displaying the same enthusiasm and spirit as done when arousing servicepersons to struggles and feats through militant frontline agitation at trenches and in drill grounds and construction sites. It also powerfully demonstrated the might of the army art organization successfully performing its sacred mission as a bugler in the era of songun, imbuing them with ardent love for the party, the leader, the country and its people.

He expressed great satisfaction over the splendid performance given by the members of the art squad with art pieces of great cognitive and educational value as they truthfully represented the inexhaustible mental power of the soldiers, their noble moral traits and worthwhile service. He highly appreciated their successful performance and extended thanks to them.

The art agitation is of very weighty significance as it has strong influence and appeal in the ideological education of the soldiers, he noted, advancing the tasks to be fulfilled to intensify the revolutionary and militant performing activities.

Among the audience were Kim Ki Nam and Hong Sok Hyong, members of the Political Bureau and secretaries of the C.C., the WPK, Kim Kyong Hui, member of the Political Bureau and department director of the C.C., the WPK, Thae Jong Su, alternate member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the C.C., the WPK, Ju Kyu Chang, alternate member of the Political Bureau and department director of the C.C., the WPK, KPA Generals Hyong Chol Hae and Ri Myong Su, members of the C.C., the WPK and other commanding officers of the army.
