Kang Yong Su

Kang Yong Su is Minister of Urban Management. He is also an alternate (candidate) member of the Workers’ Party of Korea [WPK] Central Committee and deputy to the Supreme People’s Assembly [SPA].

Kang is a former people’s committee manager. From 2010 to 2013 he served as Chairman of the South Hwanghae Provincial People’s Committee. Kang was appointed Minister of Urban Management during the seventh session of the 12th SPA in April 2013. He was elected a deputy to the 13th SPA in March 2014.

Kang is reputed to have close professional ties to DPRK Premier Pak Pong Ju.
