The KWP Propaganda and Agitation Department and Foreign Language Publishing House is celebrating the 60th Anniversary of “The Foreign Language Magazine.”  Curtis Melvin has some good thoughts on this momentous occasion, having completed an excellent bit of scholarship on the DPRK’s relations with foreign countries.  The focus of these publications is on the year 2009 and celebrate the nuclear test, satetllite/ICBM launch, some of the places Kim Jong-il has visited this year and on the two economic “battle campaigns” and Korean history from a DPRK perspective.
